Satara: Air Marshal Sunil Kashinath Vidhate, AVSM, YSM, VM, Air Officer-in-Charge Personnel (AOP), paid a visit to his alma mater, Sainik School Satara, on August 2, 2025. The distinguished alumnus was accorded a grand welcome with a Guard of Honour, reflecting the school’s pride in its notable former student.

During his visit, Air Marshal Vidhate paid floral tributes to the iconic bust of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and laid a wreath at the Martyrs’ Column, paying homage to the brave alumni who made supreme sacrifices. This gesture underscored the importance of remembering and honoring the sacrifices of those who have served the nation.

In an inspiring address to the staff and cadets at the Dahanukar Auditorium, Air Marshal Vidhate shared valuable insights and experiences from his illustrious career in the Indian Air Force (IAF). He encouraged the cadets to pursue a career in the Indian Armed Forces, emphasizing the importance of commitment to goals, perseverance, and a life dedicated to service. The Air Marshal also gifted promotional material related to IAF recruitment to the school captain, further motivating the students

The Air Marshal visited various educational and training facilities of the school, praising the efforts of the Officers and staff in shaping future leaders. He commended the school’s vision for providing state-of-the-art facilities to cadets, appreciating the ongoing infrastructure development projects. This visit not only reflects the school’s commitment to excellence but also highlights the strong bond between the IAF and Sainik Schools in nurturing young talent.
