Navi Mumbai: A shocking case of murder has come to light from the Vashi area of Navi Mumbai, where a jilted lover brutally killed his girlfriend’s husband and dumped the body in a creek. The police have arrested the accused in the case. According to reports, the accused and the deceased’s wife had been in a two-year-long relationship, leading to frequent quarrels between the couple.
When the deceased confronted the accused about the illicit relationship, a heated argument ensued, and the accused attacked him with a shovel, seriously injuring him. The accused then killed him. During interrogation, the accused revealed that he had proposed to the woman, but she had rejected him. He thought that if he eliminated her husband, she might agree to marry him.
ACP Adinath Budhwant stated that Vashi police have arrested the accused and produced him in court, where he has been remanded to seven-day police custody. The police have sent the body for post-mortem examination and have initiated an investigation into the case. Police are working to uncover all aspects of the case.
