Father Kills Son in Broad Daylight Over Property Dispute

Washim: A shocking incident unfolded in Washim district of Maharashtra, where a 60-year-old father, Gopal Mokhalkar, allegedly stabbed his 40-year-old son, Anil Mokhalkar, to death over a property dispute. The gruesome murder took place at their home in Pragati Nagar, Karanja city, around 8 am on April 12.
Argument Escalates into Fatal Violence
The dispute centered on Anil’s demand to transfer the farm to his name or sell it, which led to frequent quarrels between the two. On the fateful morning, Anil, who was drunk, started arguing with his father and grabbed his shirt collar. Fed up with the constant bickering, Gopal snapped and stabbed Anil thrice in the stomach and back with a kitchen knife. The injuries were fatal, causing Anil’s stomach to burst and his intestines to protrude, leading to instantaneous death.
Investigation Underway
Police Arrest Father, Conduct Postmortem Examination
The police swiftly responded to the incident, arresting Gopal and registering a case. Anil’s body was taken to the hospital for postmortem examination. The deceased, a driver by profession, leaves behind a wife and a 4-year-old daughter.
