Dhule: District Court sentenced four Bangladeshi nationals staying illegally to simple imprisonment of six months and three months under different sections. The court also directed that the fake documents seized from these four Bangladeshi nationals should be canceled by the relevant department.

This is the first case in North Maharashtra where Bangladeshi nationals staying with fake documents have been sentenced, according to police administration. Information was received by local Crime Investigation Department officer Shriram Pawar and Dhule branch of ATS that Bangladeshi nationals were staying at a lodge on Agra Road in Dhule. Subsequently, both teams conducted a joint operation and took the four into custody from a room in the hotel.

In preliminary questioning, their identities were confirmed as Mohammad Mahtab Bilal Sheikh, Shilpi Begum Kabir Munshi, Beauty Begum Matubbar, and Ripa Makol Matubar. Fake documents proving residence in India were found with all four. Investigation revealed that these four Bangladeshi nationals came from Bangladesh to Dhule via Delhi by railway with the help of an agent. All four came to India for employment. A case has been registered against them under various sections.
