Ratnagiri: The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) party has taken a strong stance against the poor condition of roads in Khed, staging a protest and submitting a memorandum to the Chief Officer of Khed Municipal Corporation. The party is demanding immediate attention to the issue, citing the hazardous condition of roads that are filled with potholes and pose a significant risk to commuters.
The MNS party has demanded that the municipal administration take immediate action to repair the roads, which are in a pathetic condition. The party has also warned that if the municipal administration does not pay attention to this issue, the concerned officers will face consequences, including being prevented from sitting in their offices.
The roads in Khed, including those leading to Bharne, Sakhroli, Vakavli, and Dapoli, have deteriorated significantly over the past three and a half years. The contractor responsible for road construction has been accused of shoddy work, and the lack of maintenance before the rainy season has exacerbated the problem.
Led by the party’s state general secretary and ex-mayor of Khed Municipal Corporation the protest was attended by several party leaders, including Nilesh Bamne, and Rishikesh Kanade and others. The party’s leaders emphasized the need for immediate action to address the issue and ensure that the roads are safe for commuters.
The MNS party’s protest highlights the urgent need for the municipal administration to take action to address the issue of poor road conditions in Khed. The party’s demands are clear: the roads need to be repaired, and the responsible officials need to be held accountable. The outcome of this protest remains to be seen, but it is clear that the MNS party will continue to push for action on this issue until the roads are safe and well-maintained.
The party’s strong stance on this issue demonstrates their commitment to ensuring the well-being and safety of the people of Khed. By demanding immediate action and accountability, the MNS party is holding the municipal administration responsible for addressing the issue of poor road conditions.
