Mumbai: The Central Railway has announced a mega block on July 27, impacting the Main and Harbour Lines in Mumbai. The block is scheduled for maintenance and infrastructure upkeep, which will result in train diversions, delays, and cancellations. The Main Line will be affected between Thane and Kalyan stations from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, while the Harbour Line will be impacted between Panvel and Vashi from 11:05 am to 4:05 pm.
Some trains will be diverted to different lines, resulting in additional halts and delays of approximately 10-15 minutes. Passengers are advised to plan ahead and check train schedules before heading out. Delays and disruptions are expected, especially during peak hours. Considering alternative routes or modes of transport may also be helpful.
The Central Railway has assured that these maintenance blocks are essential for infrastructure upgradation and long-term benefits, and passengers are kindly requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused, as these efforts will ultimately enhance the overall efficiency and reliability of the railway system.
