Mumbai Police Zone 9 Unit Crackdown on International Drug Trafficking Racket

Mumbai : The Oshiwara Police, led by Assistant Police Inspector Vikas Kadam and Constable Siraj Mujawar, have successfully busted an international drug trafficking racket. Two Indonesian nationals, Budi Wiyono and Rahmat Ardi Hidayat, were arrested with a massive consignment of high-grade hydro ganja worth ₹21.55 crore in the international market. The police seized 21.552 kilograms of the contraband.
Investigation and Arrests
The investigation revealed that the suspects were staying at a hotel in the Jogeshwari area and had smuggled the consignment into Mumbai via Malaysia, with the narcotics suspected to have originated from Thailand. Zone 9 Deputy Commissioner of Police Dikshit Gedam is leading the investigation to uncover the entire network behind this smuggling operation.
Crackdown on Drug Trafficking
The Mumbai police have been actively cracking down on drug trafficking rackets, highlighting their efforts to combat international drug trafficking networks. The police are working to identify the intended recipients of the drugs in Mumbai or elsewhere, and both suspects have been taken into custody.
