Mumbai: According to citizens demand to extend local train and metro operations in Mumbai till late night during the upcoming Ganpati festival. Skill Development Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha assured the public that he would communicate with the rail and metro administration to make this possible, ensuring that Ganesh devotees can travel safely and conveniently.
The decision to extend train operations comes after citizens demanded extended train services during the Ganpati festival at a Janata Darbar held at the BMC’s D Ward office. Minister Lodha responded positively, confirming that a letter has been sent to the concerned authorities, and citizens can expect positive outcomes soon. This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to make public services more responsive to the needs of citizens.
The Janata Darbar initiative brought together officials from 12 departments, including MHADA, SRA, BMC, and Railways, to resolve public grievances efficiently. This approach has been successful in addressing the problems of citizens, with over 2,000 people filing complaints online and offline. By bringing all relevant departments under one roof, the government has been able to provide effective solutions to the problems faced by citizens.
