Satara Police Arrested 2 Foreign Drug Peddlers

Anti Drugs Efforts Yield Success

Satara : In a significant blow to international drug trafficking, the Satara police have arrested 12 individuals, including two foreign nationals, Benjamin Ana Koru from the African continent and Sagna Emmanuel from Senegal. The police have seized 37 grams of addictive MD (Mephedrone) drugs worth Rs 114,350 in a major operation that highlights the effectiveness of India’s anti-drug efforts.

A Month-Long Investigation

The operation, led by Karad Sub-Divisional Police Officer Amol Thakur, involved a month-long investigation that utilized data analysis and secret systems to track down the accused. The police initially arrested three individuals from Karad, before expanding their operation to Mumbai, Kolhapur, Pune, and other locations.The Satara police’s operation has sent a strong message to drug traffickers, and citizens are expressing satisfaction with the efforts being made to keep their communities safe as district police vowing to intensify their action against drug traffickers,

A progressive step toward Drug- Free India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emphasized the importance of creating a “Drug-Free India,” and the Satara police’s success is a testament to the progress being made towards achieving this goal. The Union Home Ministry and state governments are working together to combat drug trafficking, and recent efforts have included seizing drugs worth Rs 200 crore in Navi Mumbai and arresting a large international gang.
