Solapur: A compassionate recruitment drive launched by Solapur Zilla Parishad offering permanent jobs to 50-100 individuals. This initiative is part of a 150-day program announced by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, focusing on implementing various schemes across different departments. Chief Executive Officer Kuldeep Jangam has taken up the campaign of compassionate recruitment after the success of the Ashadhi Yatra.
The Solapur Zilla Parishad has reserved 20% of vacancies for wards of former ZP employees based on service seniority and education qualification. Candidates are selected based on their position in the compassionate list, prepared by examining files according to service seniority. Smita Patil, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the ZP’s Administration Department, has made extensive preparations for the recruitment process, which hasn’t occurred in seven years.
The Solapur Zilla Parishad has started compassionate recruitment for the first time in the state, aiming to provide permanent support to the wards of former employees who died in service. This initiative is expected to bring relief to many families and provide them with a sense of security and stability. With this recruitment drive, the Zilla Parishad is demonstrating its commitment to supporting the families of its former employees.
The issue of compassionate recruitment is not unique to Solapur or Maharashtra. Across the state and country, numerous individuals and families are awaiting resolution on their claims for compassionate appointments. The backlog of pending jobs and claims is a significant challenge, and initiatives like the one taken by Solapur Zilla Parishad are crucial in addressing this issue. By providing permanent employment to the wards of former employees, government departments and organizations can help alleviate the financial burden on these families and provide them with a sense of security and stability.
