Yavatmal: An state-level competition has been organized for public Ganeshotsav Mandals in Yavatmal. The first prize is Rs. 5 lakh. Mandals are urged to participate. P.L. Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Akademi is organizing the ‘Maharashtra State Excellent Public Ganeshotsav Mandal Competition’. Registered or licensed public Ganeshotsav Mandals can participate.
Competition Details and Criteria
Applications are accepted through the academy’s website from July 20 to August 20. The competition is free. The government aims to give incentive awards for cultural programs, cultural competitions, preservation of culture, eco-friendly practices, and community-oriented activities. Evaluation is based on these criteria. District-level committees will assess participating mandals during Ganeshotsav starting August 27.
Prizes and Further Information
The top 3 state-level winners receive Rs 5 lakh, Rs 2.5 lakh, Rs 1 lakh, and certificates. District-level winners get Rs 25,000 and certificates.
