Mumbai: The Youth Hostel Association of India (YHAI) is an organisation that provides residential accommodation to the youth of India. It has millions of members across the country. The Borivali branch of the Youth Hostel Association of India has been established in Mumbai. In cities like Mumbai, the association has actively undertaken social initiatives. As part of this, a new branch of Youth Hostel Association of India Borivali has been established in Mumbai. This branch has shown great activity even when there is a new branch. In just one year, the unit has undertaken various activities that foster social commitment. Recently, the Borivali branch organized a disciplined trek to the Forts to make every citizen of India aware of their history as the Forts of Maharashtra have recently received global status in UNESCO. In its first year, the Borivali branch has created a positive impression in the society by running as many as 25 successful programs.
At present, many religious festivals are held as the religious month of Shravan is going on, but this time the Borivali branch has planned to spread the message of environment through religious festivals. Today’s program was organized by Youth Hostel Association of India Borivali Unit. The units organisers told taht we have to give somewhere to nature and to preserve nature, we have tried to give a positive message to the society by celebrating Mangalagaur in the presence of these trees, flowers and various elements.
It is the collective responsibility of all of us to protect the nature and Borivali unit has taken this initiative as a small effort to spread the message of green revolution i. e. celebrate the beautiful green earth by planting trees and saving trees. Associations female members responded enthusiastically to the programme. About 50 female members participated in the programme. During the programme, the message of Sant Tukaram Maharaj towards nature was remembered
