Pune: The grand Vasundhara Paayi Dindi (Pilgrimage on Foot) 2025 commenced today from the Pune Sub-monastery of Shree Kshetra Western Maharashtra, under the guidance of Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Narendracharyaji, the revered founder of the Ramanand Sect. Thousands of devotees began their spiritual journey from Pune to Shree Kshetra Nanijdham in Ratnagiri district, where the 59th birthday of the Jagadguru will be celebrated on October 21, 2025.
🟡 Seven Dindis Unite Under One Mission
This year, seven processions from different sub-monasteries across India are participating — including Pune, Telangana (Kamareddy), North Maharashtra (Nashik), Marathwada (Parbhani), Mumbai (Vasai), Eastern Vidarbha (Nagpur), and Goa. Collectively, these have been named the “Vasundhara Paayi Dindi,” symbolizing unity, devotion, and care for the Earth.
🟡 A Green Pilgrimage for a Sustainable Future
The Vasundhara Dindi carries a powerful message on global warming and environmental protection. Organizers have ensured eco-friendly arrangements throughout the journey — including provision of food, drinking water, sanitation, and sleeping facilities for thousands of devotees, while maintaining zero-waste and pollution-free practices.
Mobile toilet vans, dedicated water tankers, and volunteer teams have been deployed to maintain cleanliness. Tree plantation drives are being conducted daily along the route, reinforcing the commitment to a greener planet.
🟡 Discipline, Devotion, and Dedication
The Dindi moves in an orderly and rhythmic procession — devotees dressed in uniform attire walk in a single line, chanting the sect’s communal mantra. Despite the large scale, the event maintains remarkable discipline and coordination.
This marks the third consecutive year of the Vasundhara Dindi, with two new Dindis joining this time — a testament to the institution’s continued growth and consistency.
🟡 Care and Compassion for Devotees
Organizers have prioritized the well-being of all participants. Healthy meals and medical assistance are available throughout the journey, supported by an ambulance and a trained medical team. The Dindi includes participants from all age groups and communities, embodying inclusivity and unity in spirituality.
🟡 Ramanand Sect’s Social Contributions
Inspired by Jagadguru Ramanandacharya Narendracharyaji, the Ramanand Sect is known for its wide-ranging social welfare initiatives — including Highway Ambulance Services, Organ and Body Donation campaigns, free CBSE education for underprivileged children, Vedic schools for all communities, blood donation drives, de-addiction and rehabilitation programs, and disaster relief efforts.
These initiatives reflect the sect’s enduring commitment to human welfare and national service.
🟡 A Perfect Harmony with National Initiatives
The Dindi’s environmental focus aligns perfectly with the Government of India’s recently launched “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, reinforcing shared efforts toward environmental protection and sustainability.
