US President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran has given the United States a “very big present” linked to oil and gas, though he did not disclose specific details. His remarks come at a time when tensions remain high in the Middle East.

Trump also stated that negotiations with Iran are currently underway, suggesting that Tehran is eager to reach a deal. According to him, recent developments have increased his confidence in Iran’s leadership and the possibility of a diplomatic breakthrough.

During the day, Trump held a conversation with Narendra Modi, discussing the ongoing conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran. This marks their first interaction since the escalation began in late February.

The conflict has already had global consequences. Disruptions near the Strait of Hormuz have impacted energy supply routes, leading to volatility in international oil markets. Reports also indicate that several Indian nationals have been affected amid the escalating situation.

Meanwhile, Shehbaz Sharif has expressed readiness to facilitate peace talks, offering Pakistan as a potential mediator to ease tensions and push for a ceasefire.

On the ground, hostilities continue. Iran launched fresh missile attacks targeting areas in Tel Aviv, resulting in damage to infrastructure and civilian injuries. Local authorities confirmed that a residential building in a prominent neighborhood was directly hit.

In response, Israel carried out airstrikes in parts of Beirut, targeting positions linked to Hezbollah. The Israeli military also reported detaining members associated with the Iran-backed group in southern Lebanon.

At the same time, the United States is reportedly preparing to deploy additional troops, including units from the 82nd Airborne Division, further strengthening its military presence in the region even as diplomatic efforts continue.
