Dubai : The high-voltage encounter between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 is set to take place tonight at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, with millions of fans across the globe preparing for the showdown. The match will start at 8:00 PM IST, with the toss scheduled for 7:30 PM IST. Indian viewers can watch the game on Sony Sports Network, stream on SonyLIV, FanCode, and also on Doordarshan and JioTV.

⭕ Boycott Hashtags Trend Nationwide

In the run-up to the clash, hashtags such as #BoycottINDvPAK and #BoycottAsiaCup dominated social media platforms. Several political groups and citizens have expressed displeasure over the match being held amid heightened tensions following recent terror attacks. Despite the heated online campaigns, the Supreme Court dismissed petitions demanding cancellation, and the ICC has confirmed the fixture will go ahead as scheduled.

⭕ Student Groups Urge Caution

The Jammu & Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) has appealed to Kashmiri students across the country to avoid engaging in social media debates surrounding the match. The organization emphasized that online arguments could trigger unnecessary controversies and advised students to remain cautious during the high-pressure encounter.

⭕ Fans Divided, Businesses Hopeful

While a section of the public has pledged to boycott the telecast, pubs, restaurants, and brands are gearing up for packed viewing events. Telecom operators including Jio, Airtel, and Vi have rolled out special recharge packs offering free SonyLIV access to boost streaming viewership. Meanwhile, a light-hearted moment sparked trolling on X after Pakistan’s Iftikhar Ahmed posted a quirky comment comparing himself to a Hollywood actor, which was met with banter from Indian fans
