Satara: A Shivshahi bus caught fire on the Pune-Bengaluru national highway in the area of Badewadi village near Bhuinj. in this incident 20 passengers narrowly escaped.
The bus was on its way to Pune from Kolhapur on the Pune-Bengaluru national highway. There were 20 passengers on the bus. After the accident, the driver of the bus ran away from the spot leaving behind all the passengers in the vehicle. The bus suffered extensive damage. The police immediately rushed to the spot and doused the fire. According to initial reports, the fire was caused due to short circuit.
