⭕ Police Raid in Shirpur Taluka
Dhule Police have exposed a major racket by raiding a fake liquor manufacturing unit in Wadi village, Shirpur taluka. In this action, police booked three accused – Kismat Bhagwan Koli (49), his wife Nila Kismat Koli, and their son Samadhan Kismat Koli. While one accused has been arrested, the other two are absconding. The raid has sent shockwaves through the area, creating panic among illegal liquor traders.
⭕ Operation Based on Secret Information
The operation took place on 21st September, after Police Inspector Kishorkumar Pardeshi received reliable information from a secret informant. Acting on the tip-off, Sub-Inspector Hemant Patil led the search team to the accused’s residence around 12:45 pm, accompanied by panch witnesses.
⭕ Large Quantity of Material Seized
Inside the house, police discovered a room stocked with liquor-making material, including 100 litres of spirit, several empty plastic and glass bottles, sealing caps, and a machine. The total value of the seized material is estimated at ₹37,600.
⭕ Accused Confession Exposes Illegal Trade
During interrogation, Kismat Koli confessed that he had been manufacturing spurious liquor branded as “Tago Desi” and “Orange-flavoured country liquor,” with the help of his wife and son. The liquor was being distributed in the local market despite posing serious health hazards to consumers.
⭕ Case Registered Under Strict Provisions
Based on this evidence, police have registered a case under Section 123 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, along with multiple sections of the Maharashtra Prohibition Act.
⭕ Police Warn of Further Crackdown
Authorities have assured that strict action will continue to curb the menace of illicit liquor in the region, ensuring public safety and upholding law and order.
