Nanded: The city of Nanded witnessed a grand and emotional farewell to Lord Ganesha on Anant Chaturdashi, marking the end of the ten-day Ganesh festival. The immersion processions moved through the city with traditional dhol-tasha beats, devotional chants, and enthusiastic participation of devotees.
Local MLA Pratap Patil Chikhlikar joined the celebration, performing an energetic dance to the beats of dhol during the visarjan procession, adding to the festive spirit. The atmosphere across the city remained devotional as thousands of devotees came together to bid farewell to their beloved Bappa. Many were seen with tears in their eyes as they performed the immersion rituals, expressing both joy and emotion.
To ensure a smooth and peaceful celebration, the district administration had deployed a massive security force. More than 5,000 police officers, home guards, Quick Response Teams (QRT), and State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) personnel were stationed across the city. Special monitoring was arranged along immersion routes and sensitive locations to avoid any untoward incidents.
For eco-friendly immersion, the municipal corporation had set up over 30 artificial lakes and idol collection centers. The city was divided into zones for better management of the visarjan process. This arrangement ensured both environmental care and safety for the devotees.
The grand farewell on Anant Chaturdashi once again highlighted the cultural and spiritual richness of Nanded, where devotion and discipline came together to mark the conclusion of Ganesh Utsav.
