Two Children Dead, One Rescued After Tractor-Trolley Falls Into Well in Sakri’s Ganeshpur

Dhule :In a tragic incident that shook Ganeshpur village in Sakri taluka, a tractor-trolley loaded with onions plunged into a 60-foot-deep water-filled well, carrying along three young girls who were playing on the tractor. While one child was rescued safely, two others remain missing and are feared drowned.
Accident During Loading Work
According to sources, workers were loading onions into the trolley of a tractor at a farm near the house of former Police Patil Prakash Marathe. A few children of the labourers were playing on the tractor when it suddenly started moving on its own. Within moments, it rolled toward a nearby unfenced well and fell inside along with the three girls.
One Child Saved, Two Missing
Villagers managed to rescue Pari Sandeep Gaikwad (2 years). However, Khushi Daju Thakre (3 years) and Ritika Sandeep Gaikwad (3 years) fell deep into the water and could not be traced for hours. The disappearance of the two toddlers has caused deep sorrow in the village.
Rescue Operation Through the Night
Upon receiving information, Police Inspector Deepak Walvi and his team from Sakri Police Station rushed to the spot. With the help of villagers, authorities began a massive search and rescue operation.
Water—filled almost up to 60 feet inside the well—was being pumped out to aid the search. A JCB machine was also deployed at the spot. Residents from nearby villages including Dighave, Kasare, Chhail, and Sayne arrived to support the rescue efforts.
Community in Grief
The tragic fall of the three little girls along with the tractor-trolley has left the entire Ganeshpur region grief-stricken. Rescue operations continued late into the night as police and villagers worked tirelessly in the hope of finding the missing children.
