Police crack major theft case within days; 6 tolas of gold and ₹4.29 lakh seized, 3 accused arrested

🟡 Swift Breakthrough in Balsane Burglary Case

By | Anil Borade

Dhule : In a major breakthrough, Nizampur Police have successfully solved the Balsane house burglary case, recovering stolen property worth ₹4.29 lakh. The seized valuables include 6 tolas of gold and cash, and three suspects have been arrested in connection with the crime.

🟡 How the Crime Happened

According to police reports, resident Shantaram Gorakh Patil from Balsane village had gone to Nashik for a religious ceremony between September 18 and 19, 2025. During this period, unidentified burglars broke into his locked house and decamped with gold ornaments and cash.

Upon returning home, Patil filed a complaint at the Nizampur Police Station on September 21, 2025, leading to the registration of the case under sections 305, 334(1), 331(4), and 3(5) of the IPC.

🟡 Investigative Breakthrough

Though there were initially no strong clues, Assistant Police Inspector Mayur Bhamre launched a technical and intelligence-based investigation under the guidance of senior officers.

The probe revealed that Ajay Bapu Koli, Mukesh Pavba Dhagar, and Deepak Pandit Shirsath—all residents of Balsane, Sakri taluka, Dhule district—were involved in the theft.

🟡 Night Operation and Arrests

Acting on a tip-off, police laid a trap and nabbed the accused around 2 a.m. on October 1, 2025, at Raipur Bari during a special checkpoint operation. They were caught along with the motorcycle used in the crime. Another accused was arrested at 3 a.m. the same night.

🟡 Confession and Recovery

During interrogation, the arrested trio confessed to their involvement. The court initially remanded them to two days of police custody, later extended to five.

Following their statements, police recovered 6 tolas of gold and cash from Greater Mumbai, totaling ₹4.29 lakh in stolen property.

🟡 Police Team’s Commendable Work

The operation was carried out under the leadership of Dhule District SP Shrikant Dhivare, Additional SP Ajay Devre, Sub-Divisional Police Officer S.R. Bamble, and Local Crime Branch Inspector Shriram Pawar.

The successful investigation was led by API Mayur S. Bhamre of Nizampur Police Station, supported by API Priyadarshini Thorat, PSI Chandrakant Gaikwad, PSI Madhukar Somose, PSI Yashwant Bhamre, and several other police personnel from Dhule’s LCB and Nizampur teams.
