Ahemdabad: In an electrifying encounter at the Narendra Modi Stadium, the Lucknow Super Giants emerged victorious, defeating the Gujarat Titans by a margin of 33 runs in the 64th match of IPL 2025. This thrilling match has sent shockwaves through the league, with the Gujarat Titans’ playoff hopes taking a severe hit.

A Dominant Batting Display

The Lucknow Super Giants batted first, amassing an imposing total of 235 runs for the loss of just 2 wickets in 20 overs. Their batting lineup was a force to be reckoned with, showcasing a blend of skill and determination. Mitchell Marsh was the star of the show, scoring a magnificent 117 runs off 64 balls, including 10 fours and 8 sixes. Nicholas Pooran, too, played a crucial role, remaining unbeaten on 56 runs off 27 balls.

Gujarat Titans’ Challenge Falls Short

In response, the Gujarat Titans put up a valiant effort but ultimately fell short, scoring 202 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Despite a solid start courtesy of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan, the Titans struggled to maintain momentum. Shahrukh Khan played a notable innings, scoring 57 runs off 29 balls, but it wasn’t enough to propel his team to victory.

Wriddhiman, Avesh, and Ayush each took crucial wickets, restricting the Titans’ scoring opportunities.
