The ‘Village Goes to School’ initiative, launched in Kasarwadi village, has caught the attention of Satara District Collector Santosh Patil, who praised the effort during a surprise visit to various schools in the area.

The initiative, which includes an English subject program, has been making waves in the education sector, with teachers like Balaji Jadhav making a name for themselves and their students globally. Despite the challenges posed by the region’s remote geographical location, teachers are implementing innovative concepts, creating a buzz around education among students and parents.
“Village Goes to School; Initiative Launched
The ‘Village Goes to School’ initiative was inaugurated by District Collector Santosh Patil in Kasarwadi village, where he interacted with students, teachers, and parents. The students showcased their English communication skills and computer proficiency, impressing the Collector. The BALA (Building as a Learning Aid) painting initiative in Andhali and Malavadi schools also caught his attention.
Laxman pise’s Leadership and Community Support
The success of the initiative can be attributed to the efforts of Block Education Officer Laxman Pise, who has 19 years of experience in education. His commitment to educational transformation has led to the development of Virkarwadi as the first model school in the district. Pise has also implemented an e-learning studio, further enhancing the region’s educational landscape.
Community-Driven Approach
The ‘Village Goes to School’ initiative is being implemented through public participation, with a fund of Rs. 28 lakh raised for the purpose. This community-driven approach is a testament to the region’s determination to provide quality education, despite the challenges posed by drought.
