Mumbai : Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited bids for Package 2/CA-295 of Mumbai Metro Line 4 and 4A. The package covers key civil works on the stretch connecting Wadala–Kasarvadavali (Line 4) and its extension to Gaimukh (Line 4A).
Officials said the tender aims to fast-track construction, reduce traffic burden on eastern suburbs and Thane, and improve last-mile connectivity. Once completed, Line 4 and 4A will carry lakhs of daily commuters and significantly cut travel time.
The bidding process is now open for eligible infrastructure companies, with timelines set under MMRDA’s procurement rules. The authority expects the project to create jobs and add strong momentum to Mumbai’s metro expansion plan.
This tender marks another major step towards building a seamless, modern, and eco-friendly transport system for Mumbai.
