Nanded, Maharashtra – A deeply emotional and tragic incident from Juna Ganj has stunned the entire state. What began as a tender love story ended in a horrific honour-killing when a young couple’s relationship was violently opposed by the girl’s family.
In a scene that shook everyone present, the grief-stricken young woman placed sindoor on her murdered lover’s forehead, standing beside his lifeless body before the cremation. The gesture turned the entire locality silent and has now become the symbol of a love story brutally cut short.
Family’s Opposition Turns Deadly
According to the police, Saksham Tate and Aachal Mamilwar were in a relationship for nearly three years. Their bond grew naturally, as Saksham was a close acquaintance who frequently visited the girl’s house.
However, Aachal’s family strongly opposed their relationship. Despite several warnings, the couple continued to stay connected, hoping to convince the family one day.
But instead of acceptance, the situation took a horrifying turn.
The Brutal Murder
On Thursday around 5:30 PM, Aachal’s father Gajanan Mamilwar, along with her brothers Sahil and Himesh and other accomplices, allegedly attacked Saksham in a fit of rage.
The young man was first shot, and then his head was crushed with a heavy stone. The brutality of the act has left the entire city shocked.
Saksham reportedly had a past criminal background, and police confirm that some of the accused were also involved in earlier offences.
Based on a complaint by Saksham’s mother, the Itwara Police registered a case of murder and atrocities. All eight accused were arrested within 12 hours.
A Mother’s Warning Before the Murder
What has made the case even more disturbing is that, just two hours before the murder, the girl’s mother allegedly visited Saksham’s house and threatened him.
Hours later, he was brought home dead. As the body arrived, the atmosphere turned heartbreaking. Aachal stepped forward, applied haldi, kumkum, and sindoor to Saksham’s forehead — a symbolic act that left everyone around in tears.
“Give My Parents the Death Penalty” — The Girl’s Allegation
In an emotional statement, Aachal alleged that her family had been planning Saksham’s murder ever since he was released from jail.
She said:“My parents and brothers should be given the death penalty. They murdered the person I loved. Even though Saksham is no longer alive, I still love him. I will stay at his house.”
Her allegation that the killing was linked to caste tensions has further intensified the case. Police are investigating all angles.
Investigation Underway
The Nanded Police are conducting a detailed probe into the honour-killing, the threats issued earlier, and possible caste-based motives. The incident has sparked conversations across Maharashtra about societal pressures, honour-related violence, and the tragic fate of young couples who dare to love
