Outrage Over Pahalgam Terror Attack
Mumbai: The Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of over 26 innocent civilians, has sparked widespread outrage across the country, with demands for strong action against Pakistan growing louder. This recent attack is reminiscent of the Pulwama attack in 2019, where a devastating terrorist attack on CRPF personnel claimed the lives of 40 brave soldiers. Wasim Khan, President of BJP Minority Cell Mumbai, has welcomed the Indian government’s decision to suspend visa services for Pakistani nationals and stop the flow of Indus water to Pakistan. “These are bold steps, and we commend the government for taking such strong action against Pakistan,” he said. “Pakistan is known for its terrorist activities globally, and its attempts to destabilize India will not succeed.”
Strong Words from Wasim Khan
Wasim Khan’s condemnation of Pakistan was unequivocal, as he stated, “Pakistan has invited a major crisis by carrying out this attack. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s strength will soon be known to Pakistan.” He further emphasized, “The world has seen India’s military strength after Pulwama. Now, the people of the country are certain that Narendra Modi will take even stronger action than surgical strikes.” Khan also highlighted Pakistan’s dire economic situation, saying, “Pakistan’s economic condition is like a beggar, struggling for two meals a day. India’s decision to suspend visa services and stop Indus water will further worsen its situation.” This decision will likely have severe consequences for Pakistan’s agriculture and economy, exacerbating food shortages and economic instability in the country.
Demands for Action
Wasim Khan urged the government to take further stricter measures against Pakistan, including severing diplomatic ties and pushing other countries, especially in Asia, to do the same. He also demanded imposing economic sanctions to further cripple Pakistan’s struggling economy, increasing military presence and surveillance along the LoC to prevent future terrorist infiltration, collaborating with international partners to designate Pakistan-based terrorist organizations as global terrorist entities, and taking all necessary steps to ensure national security and protect the country’s interests. Khan emphasized that the Muslim community in India condemns such terrorist activities and will stand united with the country in times of war.
Muslim Community’s Stand
The Muslim community in India has also condemned the Pahalgam attack and demanded strict action against Pakistan. Mufti Abdul Majeed, a Muslim leader from Maharashtra’s Washim district, said, “The entire Muslim community condemns the Pahalgam incident. If the decision to impose restrictions on Pakistan had been taken after the Pulwama attack, the Pahalgam incident wouldn’t have occurred.” The community’s stance underscores the widespread outrage and demand for action against Pakistan’s terrorist activities.
