⭕ National Recognition for Dhule
Dhule: Dhule district has made history as Rohini Gram Panchayat secured the first-ever Gold Award in the Rural e-Governance category at the National e-Governance Awards 2025, held in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. This year marked the 28th National Conference on e-Governance, and for the first time, separate awards were introduced specifically for Panchayati Raj institutions. Rohini Gram Panchayat stood No.1 nationwide, winning a cash prize of ₹10 Lakh, Trophy, and Citation.
⭕ Award Ceremony Highlights
The prestigious award was presented by Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, DARPG Secretary Srinivasan, and other dignitaries. The recognition reflects strong leadership, collective effort, and effective governance at the grassroots level.
⭕ Leadership Behind the Success
The achievement was driven under the guidance of Dhule Zilla Parishad CEO Vishal Savita Tejarav Narwade (IAS) and Dy. CEO (GP Dept.) Ganesh More, with active participation from local political leaders and villagers. Sarpanch Anandrao Ganpat Pawara, Deputy Sarpanch Vasant Bona Pawara, and Gram Vikas Officer Manoj Kumawat played instrumental roles in transforming the Panchayat digitally.
⭕ Key Innovations
Rohini Gram Panchayat implemented several digital initiatives to enhance governance and citizen services:
Launch of an official Gram Panchayat website for complete online service delivery.
AI-based Anganwadi system for improved child and maternal services.
“Majhi Panchayat App” for grievance redressal.
“Nirnay App” for publishing Gram Sabha resolutions online.
These efforts led to remarkable improvements in transparency, accountability, and citizen satisfaction, setting a benchmark for other Panchayats across India.
⭕ Other Awards and Recognition
The Silver Award was given to Hudikeri Gram Panchayat in Karnataka, while Jury Awards went to Majlishpur (Tripura) and Palsana (Gujarat). These awards collectively strengthen the Digital Governance movement in rural India and inspire Panchayats nationwide to adopt similar innovative practices.
