Satara : Satara Collector Santosh Patil visited the Chh. Sambhaji Maharaj Government Medical College and Hospital. This project is crucial for Satara’s health services, and its completion will undoubtedly benefit the local population. Dr. Kundulwar, the Pune Divisional Commissioner, recently reviewed the administrative work to be completed in Satara district within 100 days, which includes this college and hospital. The construction of this college and hospital is divided into three stages, with the second phase set to begin shortly.
The largest government hospital in Satara district got approval in 2014 but faced delays due to a land shortage in the city. However, with the land issue resolved, construction began last year. MP Udayanraje Bhosale had demanded that the institution’s name be changed, and it is now finally known as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Government College and Hospital from last year. The Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Government Medical College and Hospital will have a proposed capacity of 100 doctors and 500 beds. The hospital will provide expert doctors and high-quality modern medical facilities.
Satara Collector Santosh Patil emphasized the importance of completing the college’s second phase as soon as possible. During his review visit, Collector inspected the residence complex and cafeteria, making remarks on the progress. Ravindranath Chavan, the college’s Dean, and Shripad Jadhav, the Chief Public Works Engineer, accompanied him. The Satara Public Works Department is confident that the residential complex will be completed within 100 days.
