The encounter happened while transporting him from one jail to another

Mumbai: The Badlapur sexual abuse case, in which the accused, Akshay Shinde, was arrested for sexually abusing young girls at a school in Badlapur. In this case, the opposition leaders also protested such as train holds and demanded case hearings in a fast-track court. The police began an instant investigation and arrested Akshay Shinde, who worked at the school. Akshay Shinde was arrested and put into police custody before being transferred to judicial custody in Taloja jail. However, while being transferred from Taloja to another jail, Akshay and the cops had a fight. According to police, Akshay Shinde died in the incident. Regarding this occurrence, the opposition party had also raised issues about the killing of Akshay Shinde.

The truth came out before the court based on the Majestic and Forensic Lab reports

Thane District Magistrate delivered his investigation report to the Supreme Court today under a sealed cover. Furthermore, the forensic lab indicated in its report that Akshay had no fingerprints on the gun, which confirmed everything for the court. However, while fighting with the police, Akshay seized the police’s gun and attempted to shoot at the police, claiming the court that the police had fired in self-defense, but the court saw no truth in this claim. The Supreme Court has ordered that a lawsuit be filed against the five policemen engaged in the fake encounter.

Supreme Court also criticised CID

The court also disciplined investigative agencies, such as CID, for failing to bring the injured police officer’s medical records in court. On the other hand, the court has suspected that there are defects in the investigation because the required documents were not provided to the investigative magistrate. The Registrars Office has been directed to make all of the records from this hearing available to the deceased Akshay Shinde’s parents. A hearing was held today on the father’s plea in the Supreme Court over the Akshay Shinde encounter case.
