New Delhi : The result of the Delhi assembly election has made an impact on indian politics, Out of the 70 seats, BJP won 48 seats, while Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) won 22 seats. While Congress could not win singal seat. This significant victory ended the rule of ‘AAP’ in Delhi and the BJP government was formed after 27 years of political drought.
“BJP’s resounding victory in Delhi;
The reason for ‘AAP’s’ defeat can be attributed to various factors including separation, but the lack of support from a like-minded party like Congress is the most important. The Congress party, which took an independent stand from AAP, increased its vote share, but failed to make a significant impact. The BJP has been in power at the Centre since 2014 and this victory has strengthened its position.
AAP’s national coordinator Arvind Kejriwal lost to BJP’s Pravesh Verma in the New Delhi assembly constituency. Congress leader Sandeep Dixit also lost in his traditional constituency. The BJP seems to have benefited from the clash between the Congress and AAP.
“BJP’s resounding victory in Delhi;
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the BJP on its victory and said, “People’s power is eternal!” Good governance wins. He assured the people of Delhi that his government will leave no stone unturned to ensure rapid development and improve the quality of life.
After the defeat, Kejriwal tweeted, “Congratulations to the new BJP government for winning the Delhi assembly elections. We have got the mandate of the people; we have got the opportunity to work as a strong opposition party”. On the other hand, Ramesh expressed confidence that the Congress will form the government again in Delhi by 2030.
