Mumbai: Since the BJP’s historic victory in 2014, the party has consistently strengthened its foundation. The party’s various departments, including the NGO Cell, have actively worked to expand its grassroots presence. The NGO Cell has played a pivotal role in implementing initiatives that benefit the city’s marginalized communities, including slum dwellers and children, in collaboration with various voluntary organizations.
The BJP’s NGO Cell has demonstrated its effectiveness across the country, with its initiatives frequently featured in the media and on social platforms. In the recent Lok Sabha elections, the NGO Cell made a significant contribution, which is believed to have positively impacted the party’s performance.
As the BMC elections approach, the Mumbai NGO Cell is poised to play a crucial role in helping the party achieve its objective of securing power in the city. The BJP has set its sights on winning the BMC elections and is actively working towards this goal. Given Mumbai’s status as a hub for numerous NGOs, the city’s growing population, and expansion-related challenges, the BJP’s Mumbai NGO Cell has been working closely with other voluntary organizations and utilizing its own resources to support various segments of Mumbai’s population.
Recently, the Cell distributed nutritious food to children in the Northeast Mumbai Lok Sabha constituency, with a focus on enhancing the health and well-being of slum children. Under the leadership of Hemang Jangla, the Cell is undertaking various initiatives to support the city’s middle-class and underprivileged populations, which are receiving a positive response.
With the BJP having secured 11 out of 26 assembly seats in Mumbai and having 82 corporators in the BMC, analysts believe that the party, along with its allies, is likely to capture the BMC. The NGO Cell’s ability to directly engage with citizens is a promising sign, and Hemang Jangla’s continued initiative and support will be vital in helping the party achieve its goal of capturing power in the BMC and making a positive impact on the lives of Mumbai’s residents.
