Mumbai: BJP MLA Mihir Kotecha has appealed to party workers and supporters to remove the birthday banners and hoardings put up across the city, expressing concern over the possibility of banners falling during the ongoing rains.
Kotecha said the affection, love and support he receives from BJP workers and supporters is always deeply valued. He expressed gratitude for their efforts to celebrate his birthday and for the strong bond he shares with them.
However, the MLA urged his supporters to remove the banners in view of the monsoon conditions. He said public safety must remain the priority, particularly when heavy rain and strong winds can increase the risk of banners and hoardings collapsing.
Kotecha’s appeal reflects a balance between his appreciation for the enthusiasm of party workers and his concern for the safety of citizens. He urged workers to cooperate in removing the banners and avoid putting anyone at risk.
The BJP legislator also conveyed that the love and support of party workers does not need to be demonstrated through banners, saying their continued affection and solidarity are what matter most.
His appeal comes amid heightened concerns over banner and hoarding-related incidents during the monsoon, when unsecured structures can pose risks to pedestrians, motorists and residents.
