Solapur – In preparation for Ashadhi Wari 2026, authorities have activated a comprehensive emergency management system to ensure the safety of लाखो (lakhs of) devotees expected in Pandharpur. Based on inputs and standard arrangements typically reported by Marathi regional coverage of the Wari, the district disaster management authority has mobilized modern equipment and response teams across key locations.
🟡 Emergency Infrastructure Strengthened
To prevent any untoward incidents, especially in high-density zones and along the Chandrabhaga river, multiple fire engines and a dedicated rescue vehicle have been deployed. These units are positioned strategically across the town to ensure rapid response in case of emergencies.
🟡 Focus on River Safety
Considering the heavy movement of pilgrims via boats, a large number of life jackets (over 1,000) have been arranged for safety in the river stretch. Authorities are closely monitoring all river-based transport activities to avoid overcrowding and accidents.
🟡 Rescue Teams and Equipment on High Alert
A total of 17 rescue boats, including teams from nearby districts and national disaster response units, have been stationed. The rescue setup includes:

Communication tools like walkie-talkies and megaphones
Inflatable tents for emergency shelter
Rescue ropes, torches, and signaling equipment
This integrated setup ensures immediate intervention capability during any crisis.

Throughout the Ashadhi pilgrimage period, all emergency services will operate in round-the-clock alert mode. Trained personnel and advanced rescue materials have been kept ready to handle any situation swiftly and effectively.
