“Step Aside Politicians, Let Justice Prevail”
Maharashtra Minister and BJP leader Nitesh Rane has demanded the arrest and interrogation of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aditya Thackeray in the Disha Salian death case. Rane’s demand comes after Disha Salian’s father filed a petition alleging that his daughter was gang-raped and murdered. The petitioner has also appealed to the court to register an FIR against Aditya Thackeray and transfer the probe to the CBI.
A Simple and Straightforward Case?
Rane questioned why Aditya Thackeray needs to be “saved” from this case, emphasizing that if he has no involvement, he should not be running away. Rane cited a Supreme Court judgment stating that if anyone is charged with rape, a case must be registered against them first. He demanded that Aditya Thackeray be arrested, questioned, and investigated along with others named in the case.
Pressure and Politics
Rane claimed that Disha Salian’s father was under pressure not to speak out, and questioned why former mayor Kishori Pednekar, named in the petition, visited the father’s house. Rane emphasized that all politicians should step aside and let justice prevail, stating that the case should be investigated to ensure that Disha Salian gets justice.
Justice for Disha Salian
Rane reiterated that Disha Salian’s father has nothing to do with politics and has presented his stand in court. With many people following up on the case, Rane emphasized that it is essential to investigate and ensure that justice is served.
