Town Official Language Implementation Committee Holds 16th Semi-Annual Meeting

Baghpat U.P. : The Town Official Language Implementation Committee, Bagpat, recently organized its 16th semi-annual meeting at Chaudhary Charan Singh National Institute of Animal Health’s auditorium. The meeting aimed to review and strengthen the effective implementation of Hindi in central government departments and institutions, as per the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India’s Department of Official Language directives.
Institutions Recognized for Outstanding Contributions to Hindi Promotion
The Rajbhasha Shield awards ceremony honored institutions that made significant contributions to promoting Hindi. The winners are as follows:
Office Category
Chaudhary Charan Singh National Institute of Animal Health secured the first prize for its outstanding efforts.
-Nehru Yuva Kendra Bagpat won the second prize for its commendable work.
PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Chand Nagar received the third prize for its notable achievements.
Banking Category
The banking sector also showcased impressive Hindi promotion efforts:
Bank of Baroda secured the first prize for its exemplary work.
Central Bank of India won the second prize for its significant contributions. State Bank of India received the third prize for its notable efforts.
Launch of ‘Hindi Setu’ Mobile App
Assistant Director Ajay Kumar Choudhary launched the ‘Hindi Setu’ mobile app, designed to provide useful resources for government work in Hindi. He emphasized that using Hindi is a constitutional duty and encouraged offices to prioritize it.
Importance of Hindi in the Digital Age
Committee Chairman Prateek Srivastava highlighted that Hindi is a people’s language, and its reach and impact have increased in the digital age. The meeting demonstrated that technology and language can be coordinated to enrich the country linguistically.
Committee’s Efforts to Promote Hindi
The committee has formed sub-committees to implement Rajbhasha effectively, with quarterly meetings held to discuss progress. Committee Secretary Abhay Nath Mishra invited suggestions from member offices to strengthen the committee’s functioning.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Institute’s Assistant Commissioner Dr. Vikas Gupta, expressing gratitude to all guests, participants, and staff for their contributions to promoting Hindi in Bagpat.
