MAHASHIVRATRI 2025: Devotees Long Queue at Babulnath Temple in Mumbai

Mahashivratri Celebration Begin

Mumbai : Thousands of devotees flocked to the revered Babulnath Temple in Mumbai on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri 2025. The temple witnessed an unprecedented surge of devotees, with queues stretching over a kilometer as people waited patiently to catch a glimpse of Lord Shiva. The temple premises were abuzz with activity as devotees from all corners of the city and beyond gathered to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Many traveled for over two hours to reach the temple, undeterred by the long wait that lay ahead.

Devotee Flock to Babulnath Temple

“I feel blessed to have reached this sacred place,” said a devotee, Pravin Rajput who had been waiting in line for over an hour. “We are willing to wait for as long as it takes to seek Lord Shiva’s blessings.The queue, which snaked its way around the temple, was filled with devotees of all ages, each with their own story of devotion and faith. Despite the sweltering heat and the long wait, the atmosphere remained festive and joyful.

Faith and Devotion in Full Display

“We come here every year, and it’s always a surreal experience,” said Pravin Rajput, a devotee who had been waiting in line for over two hours. “The energy of the temple is palpable, and we feel blessed to be a part of it.” As the day wore on, the crowds only grew larger, with more and more devotees streaming in to pay their respects to Lord Shiva. The temple authorities, aided by volunteers and security personnel, worked tirelessly to ensure a smooth and safe experience for all devotees.

Spirituality Reigns Supreme On Mahashivratri

The Babulnath Temple, one of the oldest and most revered Shiva temples in Mumbai, is a major pilgrimage site during Mahashivratri. The festival, which celebrates the union of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, is observed with great fervor and devotion across the country. As the sun set over the bustling city, the devotees continued to pour in, their faith and devotion a testament to the enduring power of spirituality.
