Survey to be conducted in 6.62 lakh villages of the country

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued Swamitva cards to 65 lakh people across the country via video conference yesterday. PM Narendra Modi introduced the Swamitva card program on Panchayat Raj Day, April 24, 2020. By 2025, 3.17 lakh villages across the country would have been surveyed to ensure accurate land and property records.Today, 65 lakh beneficiaries from 10 states, 2 union territories, 230 districts, and more than 50,000 villages received benefits under this scheme. PM Narendra Modi stated that this is a historic moment for rural empowerment.

Accurate survey with cutting – edge technology and drones

Swamitva scheme is a village population and property survey program in rural areas that uses advanced technology. PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the initiative on April 24, 2020, as a central govt scheme for socio-economic promotion, chaired by Ram Nath Kovind. Under this project, a survey of about 6.62 lakh villages across the country will be conducted from 2021 to 2025, with various technologies, including drones, used to collect property data. Scheme’s first phase was implemented in select villages in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Rajasthan in 2020-21.

Extraordinary achievement of ministry Panchayat Raj

Swamitva Card Scheme’s goal is to survey to generate accurate maps of the areas in rural areas utilizing advanced technologies. It efforts to resolve property disputes by providing accurate land records while additionally improving financial liquidity. It will enhance planning and revenue collection while also providing rural residents with knowledge about their property rights. So far, 1 lakh 12 thousand 409 beneficiaries across the country have received property cards. The Ministry of Panchayati Raj’s extraordinary planning and implementation of the scheme over the last four years has resulted in 92 percent of the program’s goals being met to date, indicating that the scheme will be implemented across the country before its scheduled date of 2025.
