Satara: An shocking incident unfolded in Satara when a drunk rickshaw-puller, in a brazen display of recklessness, drove erratically, ramming into several vehicles. When woman police constable Bhagyashree Jadhav tried to stop him, the inebriated driver grabbed her by the collar and dragged her 200 meters, causing injuries to her head and hands. The entire incident was captured on CCTV cameras.
The locals, enraged by the driver’s actions, caught hold of him and beat him up before the police arrived and took him into custody. A case has been registered against the accused at the Satara police station. The woman constable was admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the dangers of drunk driving and the need for stricter enforcement of traffic laws. The police are investigating the incident and taking action against the accused.
