In response to this attack, the Indian government launched “Operation Sindoor,” a series of precision strikes targeting terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. The operation, carried out on May 7, 2025, targeted nine key terrorist hubs, including sites in Bahawalpur, Muridke, Kotli, and Muzaffarabad. Reports suggest that over 100 terrorists were killed in the strikes. The operation was widely supported by the Indian public, with many hailing it as a bold and decisive move against terrorism.
