Ratnagiri: A devastating road accident occurred in Pimpli on the Chiplun-Karad road, resulting in the deaths of five people, including a 3-year-old child and their parents. The victims who lost their lives are Shabana Mian Sayed, 50, Haider Niaz Sayed, 3 years and 8 months, Niaz Hussain Sayed, 50, auto-rickshaw driver Brahim Ismail Loni, 60, and the driver of the truck, whose identity is yet to be confirmed. The incident took place around 5 pm, leaving a trail of shock and grief in its wake.
The accident occurred when a car and an auto-rickshaw collided with each other, resulting in a fatal outcome for all parties involved. The driver of the car, who is believed to be a passerby from Haryana, had reportedly left a young girl on the road moments before the accident. Miraculously, the girl survived the accident.
The police have registered a case at the Chiplun police station and are conducting further investigation into the incident. DSP Belle and Police Inspector Mengde and team have reached the spot, and locals and authorities are working together to process the scene.
