Mumbai: Get ready to experience Mumbai like never before! The city’s first elevated nature trail walkway, located at Malabar Hill, is set to open on March 30. This innovative project, developed by the BMC’s Hydraulic Engineering Department, offers a unique blend of nature and adventure. The walkway is an exciting addition to Mumbai’s tourist attractions and provides a unique opportunity for citizens to connect with nature.

The 485-meter-long walkway stretches from Kamala Nehru Park to the serene woods of Doongerwadi, providing an immersive experience in nature. The walkway features a ‘Sea Viewing Deck’ that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Mumbai coastline. Ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors, the walkway is equipped with wooden railings, supporting columns, and joint connections. A well-planned lighting system allows for pleasant evening strolls, making it an ideal spot for families and couples. The walkway is also designed with safety features such as emergency exit routes and fire extinguishers.

The Elevated Nature Trail walkway has a capacity of 400 visitors and features an ‘Access Control System’ to regulate foot traffic. Emergency exit routes and conveniently located entry and exit points ensure a smooth and safe experience. Tickets are priced at Rs. 25 for citizens and Rs. 100 for foreigners, making it an affordable and accessible attraction for all. Visitors can purchase tickets online or at the entry point.

Inauguration Details

The Elevated Nature Trail walkway will be inaugurated on Sunday, March 30, at 9 AM by Mangal Prabhat Lodha, the Minister of Skill Development, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation. The inauguration ceremony will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a guided tour of the walkway.
