Solapur : The Right to Information (RTI) Activists Federation, Maharashtra State successfully organized its state-level convention in Solapur on Sunday, 14th September 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 550 activists and office bearers from across Maharashtra. The convention was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of a lamp before the portrait of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The ceremony was graced by Shri Jitendra Bhave, Founder-President of Nirbhay Maharashtra Party, and Shri Subhash Baswekar, Founder-President of the RTI Activists Federation, along with Ratnagiri District President Manohar Gurav, Solapur District President Yogesh Sule, Third Gender Community District President Narsing alias Nandini Billa, and Solapur District Women’s President Dipali Swami.

Several important issues were discussed during the convention, including the growing number of false cases filed against activists, the difficulties faced by grassroots workers, and the need to collectively present key demands before the Chief Minister. Many activists shared their experiences and challenges while working in the field. In his address, Shri Subhash Baswekar appealed to all activists to remain united and fight strongly against injustice, false accusations, and attacks on Federation members, while Shri Jitendra Bhave urged workers to expand the movement by joining in large numbers and strengthening the organization through solidarity.

On this occasion, several activists and office bearers who had carried out exemplary work were felicitated with certificates and mementos at the hands of Shri Jitendra Bhave. The convention marked a significant milestone for the Federation, with a large number of representatives from across Maharashtra contributing to the success of the gathering.
