Dhule: A daring incident of armed robbery sent shockwaves through Gangapur village in Sakri taluka, when a group of unidentified robbers looted a petrol pump on the Sakri–Dhule Highway early Thursday morning.
As per initial reports, around 4:52 AM to 5:02 AM, two to three armed assailants entered the Jio company’s petrol pump, threatened staff at gunpoint, and looted between ₹15,000 to ₹20,000 in cash. During the incident, petrol pump owner Nana Bhiva Marner sustained injuries while attempting to stop the robbers.
The suspects quickly fled the scene, creating an atmosphere of fear among the employees and local residents. Upon receiving the alert, Sakri Police officials immediately reached the spot and began an intensive investigation.
The entire robbery was captured on CCTV cameras, providing vital clues to the police. The footage clearly shows two suspects committing the theft. Authorities have now released stills from the video and appealed to the public to come forward with any information regarding the accused.

Locals have demanded stronger security measures at fuel stations and better street lighting along the highway stretch, which is known for limited police presence during late-night hours.
