New Delhi: The political and social spotlight is once again turning towards Delhi’s Jantar Mantar after CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke announced that “Jantar Mantar Season 2” will begin soon. Dipke made the announcement on August 12, 2026, responding to questions from social media users about when the next phase of the movement would begin. His announcement has sparked fresh discussions over the future course of the campaign and the issues that could form the centrepiece of the proposed protest.

🟡 Second Phase After Earlier Jantar Mantar Protest

The announcement comes weeks after a major protest led by CJP at Jantar Mantar, where issues concerning students and alleged irregularities related to the NEET-UG examination were raised. The earlier campaign attracted attention from students and supporters and also became a subject of wider political discussion in Delhi. During the protest, the organisation had also called for a march towards Parliament, further intensifying the confrontation between protesters and the authorities.

With Dipke now announcing a second phase, attention has shifted towards the possible agenda, scale and strategy of the upcoming movement. The exact date and detailed programme of “Jantar Mantar Season 2” have not yet been announced.

🟡 Is ‘Season 2’ Bigger Than Jantar Mantar?

The announcement may not necessarily mean another protest confined only to Jantar Mantar. According to CJP spokesperson Saurav Das, the phrase “Jantar Mantar Season 2” represents a new phase of the movement rather than simply another gathering at one location. This has raised the possibility that the campaign could expand beyond Delhi and involve public issues across different parts of the country.

The organisation has previously raised questions relating to students, education, unemployment, governance and issues affecting ordinary citizens. The upcoming phase could therefore potentially have a broader public agenda, although the final list of demands is still awaited.

🟡 Controversy Over CJP Meeting in Delhi

Meanwhile, a separate controversy emerged over a proposed meeting of CJP volunteers in Delhi. Dipke alleged that the venue for the meeting was cancelled because of pressure from authorities. According to his allegation, venue owners were warned against allowing the organisation to hold its meeting.

Dipke subsequently criticised the BJP over the alleged pressure. The BJP rejected the allegation, pointing out that CJP had previously been permitted to hold its protest at Jantar Mantar and questioning the claim that the party or government was preventing a meeting at a private venue.

The allegations and counter-allegations have added another political dimension to the developments surrounding CJP’s upcoming campaign.

🟡 Dipke Targets Amit Shah Over Earlier Police Action

Dipke has also revived the issue of the police action during the earlier attempt by CJP supporters to march towards Parliament. He has demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah explain the action in Parliament and apologise for what Dipke described as excessive police action against protesters.

Dipke has alleged that protesters faced measures including baton charges and the use of tear gas during the July 20 episode. These remain allegations made by Dipke and CJP, and should be distinguished from the official position of the authorities.

🟡 What Will Be the Agenda of ‘Jantar Mantar Season 2’?

At present, CJP has not announced a complete schedule, specific date, expected number of participants or the final list of demands for the second phase. However, the organisation has consistently highlighted student issues, education, unemployment, government accountability and wider public concerns.

The next phase could therefore move beyond a single examination-related issue and attempt to bring several public concerns under one campaign. The scale of the movement, however, will become clearer only after CJP announces its detailed programme.

🟡 Fresh Attention on Abhijeet Dipke’s Movement

The announcement of “Jantar Mantar Season 2” has once again brought Abhijeet Dipke and CJP into the national spotlight. The first phase generated considerable discussion on social media and among political circles, particularly over student issues and the proposed Parliament march.

Now, with Dipke signalling a fresh phase, attention is focused on whether the upcoming campaign will remain centred on Jantar Mantar or develop into a broader nationwide movement.

For now, the exact date and detailed roadmap remain awaited. But one thing is clear: ‘Jantar Mantar Season 2’ has been announced, and the next move by Abhijeet Dipke and CJP is likely to draw significant attention in Delhi and beyond.
