BEST Launches AC Bus Services on Three Key Routes in Mumbai

Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) Undertaking has launched air-conditioned (AC) bus services on three key routes in Mumbai, aiming to enhance passenger comfort and improve public transport facilities. The new AC routes include A-7 (Vijay Vallabh Chowk to Vikhroli), A-511 (Ghatkopar to Nerul), and AC-53 (Ghatkopar to Kalamboli).
Boost to BEST Fleet with 30 New Buses
To support the new AC bus services, 30 new buses from wet lease operators will be added to the BEST fleet. Eight buses will be deployed on the A-7 route, operating at intervals of 25 to 50 minutes. Similarly, eight buses will also be deployed on the A-511 route, operating at a frequency of 25 to 30 minutes. Additionally, 14 buses will support the AC-53 route, operating at a frequency of 15 to 20 minutes.
Timings and Frequencies Announced for New AC Bus Services
The timings and frequencies of the new AC bus services have also been announced. For the A-7 route, the first bus from Vijay Vallabh Chowk will depart at 7:20 AM, with the last bus at 10:00 PM. From Vikhroli, the first bus will leave at 6:00 AM, with the last bus at 11:30 PM. For the A-511 route, the first bus from Ghatkopar will depart at 4:05 AM, with the last bus at 4:25 PM. From Nerul, the first bus will leave at 4:45 AM, with the last bus at 12:30 midnight.
Convenient Timings for AC-53 Route
The AC-53 route will also have convenient timings, with the first bus from Ghatkopar departing at 6:00 AM and the last bus at 10:10 PM. From Kalamboli, the first bus will leave at 7:10 AM, with the last bus at 8:30 PM. With these new AC bus services, BEST aims to provide a more comfortable and efficient travel experience for commuters in Mumbai.
