Popular educator and YouTuber Faizal Khan, widely known as Khan Sir, has been booked under serious criminal charges including attempted murder following a firing incident outside his coaching institute in Patna. The case has been registered under provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Arms Act, marking a major escalation in what initially appeared to be a case of violence targeting his institute. The FIR is based largely on statements given by two private security guards who were present during the incident and were later detained by police.

The incident took place on the night of June 2, 2026, outside Khan Global Studies (KGS) located in the Musallahpur area of Patna, a region known for its dense cluster of coaching centres. According to reports, a group of around 15 to 20 individuals gathered outside the institute, leading to chaos that included stone pelting and vandalism. During this unrest, gunshots were heard, creating panic among students and local residents, and prompting immediate police intervention in the area.

Investigators claim that the two arrested security guards admitted to firing shots during the violence and alleged that they did so on instructions from Khan Sir. According to their statements, they were told to open fire if the situation escalated, with one guard reportedly quoting Khan Sir as saying he would handle the consequences. Police sources indicate that each guard fired multiple rounds, although the exact number of shots is still being verified through forensic and video evidence.

Before the FIR was filed against him, Khan Sir had publicly claimed that his coaching institute was under attack by anti-social elements and that multiple rounds of gunfire were directed at the premises. He described the incident as a planned attempt to create fear and disrupt his operations, and also hinted at a possible conspiracy involving rival coaching institutes in the area. This claim has added another layer of complexity to the case, as cross-complaints have reportedly been filed involving individuals linked to competing institutes.

Police officials are now closely examining CCTV footage, mobile recordings, and eyewitness accounts to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine whether the firing was an act of self-defense or a premeditated response. Authorities have not ruled out any angle and are treating the case with high priority due to the involvement of firearms in a crowded student zone. The investigation is also focusing on whether proper protocols were followed in deploying armed private security in such a sensitive location.

With the FIR now in place, the possibility of further legal action, including arrest, remains open depending on the outcome of the ongoing investigation. The incident has sparked widespread concern among students and parents, especially given the reputation of the Musallahpur area as a major educational hub. Heavy police deployment continues in the locality to prevent further unrest and maintain order.

What makes the case particularly significant is the sharp shift in narrative, as Khan Sir initially appeared as a victim of violence but is now facing allegations of directing armed action. This contradiction has drawn intense public attention and debate, raising questions about safety, accountability, and the growing tensions within the competitive coaching industry in cities like Patna.
