A political controversy has erupted in Rajasthan after a team associated with the CJP (Chhatrapati Shivaji Party) alleged that its leaders and workers were attacked during a visit to a government school in the Jaipur district. The incident has triggered a fresh political confrontation, with allegations being levelled against BJP-linked workers.
According to reports, CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka and other members of the party had visited a government school in the Rampura-Kanwarpura area of Jaipur. The team was reportedly inspecting the condition of the school when the situation suddenly turned tense.
🟡 Allegations of Assault and Vehicle Damage
The CJP team has alleged that a group of people stopped them and subsequently chased and assaulted members of the team. The party has also claimed that the windows of their vehicle were damaged during the incident.
CJP leaders have alleged that people associated with the BJP were behind the attack. However, the allegation remains disputed. BJP representatives have rejected the charge, while local villagers have also reportedly denied the allegations made by the CJP team.
🟡 Political War Escalates
The incident has now moved beyond the local dispute and become a political issue. CJP founder Abhijit Dipke has strongly condemned the alleged attack and demanded immediate action against those responsible.
The controversy has also reached the Rajasthan Assembly, where the incident has triggered accusations and counter-accusations between political groups.
🟡 CJP Issues 48-Hour Ultimatum
Following the alleged attack, the CJP has reportedly given the Rajasthan government 48 hours to take action against the alleged attackers. The party has warned that failure to act could lead to a wider statewide protest.
The development is being closely watched because the incident comes amid growing political confrontation in Rajasthan. The competing versions of the incident make an impartial police investigation crucial to establish exactly what happened and who was responsible.
🟡 The bigger political question
The incident is no longer simply about an alleged clash during a school visit. It has raised questions over political confrontation, freedom of political activity and the security of political workers.
If the allegations of assault and property damage are established, those responsible should face legal action. At the same time, allegations against any political organisation should not be treated as established facts until supported by the police investigation or other credible evidence.
For Rajasthan, the next 48 hours could be politically significant as the CJP’s ultimatum puts pressure on the government to respond.
